Job description
- You are the face of the business interfacing with hedge fund managers, portfolio managers, analysts, risk managers, COOs, and CFOs. You represent Hedgineer as the best engineering teams for hedge funds in the world by being exceptional as a software developer, communicator, sales person, and problem solver. You intimately understand our clients needs and are able to ensure our platform is exactly what they need.
- You do what is necessary to have the client say "I absolutely love the Hedgineer Platform". That could include writing a portfolio optimizer on top of a credit portfolio using our existing tools, integrating AI into their alternative data strategy, or automating the creation of investor relations reports for their next fund launch.
- Ensure the successful software integration of each client onto the Hedgineer Platform.
- You are constantly iterating on AI use cases to identify transformationaly use cases for our industry.
- Contribute back to the core Hedgineer platform by filling gaps in the database, service side, and UI products that add value to the company. This also involves providing feedback and prioritization of platform products and services that are being built by the platform team.
- Partner closely with other leadership within Hedgineer on long-term technology and business strategy.
- Integrate into the sales process and take ownership of the growth of the company within your clients and across the industry.
- Help shape the FDE role so that it can successfully scale to a team of 4. This includes developing operational best practices.
Job responsibilities & requirements
- Demonstrate mastery of advanced Python and SQL, utilizing these skills daily to develop, optimize, and maintain sophisticated investment tools and data systems on the Hedgineer platform.
- Employ AI tools innovatively in your work, with a proven track record of integrating AI into existing workflows to enhance client strategies and solutions.
- Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with hedge fund executives, including managers, analysts, and C-suite officers, conveying complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Develop bespoke financial applications, such as portfolio optimizers or automated reporting systems, ensuring they align precisely with client needs and enhance their experience with the Hedgineer Platform.
- Take charge of end-to-end software integration for clients, guaranteeing a seamless transition and effective utilization of the Hedgineer platform within their operations.
- Continuously explore and iterate on AI use cases, identifying and implementing transformative applications for the asset management industry.
- Provide essential feedback and strategic input on the development of the core Hedgineer platform, ensuring the continual enhancement of our service offerings.
- Forge strong partnerships with Hedgineer's leadership to contribute to the long-term technology and business strategy, impacting the company's direction and success.
- Engage actively in the sales process, embracing a role that extends beyond engineering to include client growth and retention as part of your commitment to the company’s expansion.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping the Forward Deployed Engineer position, establishing and refining best practices as the team scales to meet the growing demands of the industry.
